The translation of the inscription is given below:

  1. O God, be
  2. pleased with ʿAbd
  3. al-Raḥmān bin
  4. Sufyān bin ʿAmr.
  5. Amen! Lord
  6. of the worlds. And
  7. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān wrote this
  8. inscription ten nights
  9. remaining (in the month of) Jumāda
  10. al-ākhir in the year
  11. six (and) eighty.
