Assalamu ʿalaykum wa rahamatullahi wa barakatuhu:

The translation of the inscription is given below:
- O God, forgive Ḥārith
- ibn al-Muṭallib as he testifies that
- verily there is no
- deity except God alone
- without any partner.
- And he wrote in the
- year nine and sevent
